Kahlua chocolate almond ice cream
- 1 egg
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- ⅓ cup Kahlua
- ½ cup roasted, salted almonds
- ½ cup cold chocolate sauce
- Whisk the egg, sugar, cream and milk together in a sauce pan.
- Heat over medium until it reaches 160 degrees.
- Stir in the Kahlua and strain over a large bowl.
- Refrigerate the mixture until completely chilled.
- Churn the ice cream following your ice cream machine's instructions
- When the ice cream starts to stiffen, add the almonds
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezable container and quickly fold in the chocolate sauce.
- At this point it will be a soft serve consistency.
- Freeze for a few hours to harden.
