Cherry Vanilla Crisp
- 8 cups cherries, rinsed and pitted
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. flour
- ¾ cup flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter, cold, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- In a large bowl, combine the fruit, vanilla, sugar and flour. Let it sit while you prepare the topping.
- Using a food processor, combine the flour, sugars and salt. Pulse in the butter and then mix in the oats.
- Place the fruit in a medium sized baking dish and top with the oat topping.
- Bake for 1 hour. Serve warm with ice cream.
Double the topping and freeze half to make life easier next time.
