Baked Apple Cider Donuts

Ingredients
  • 1¾ cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup Litehouse Apple Cider
For the glaze
  • ½ cup Litehouse Apple Cider
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp light or dark corn syrup
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and lightly coat donut pans with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, soda and salt.
  3. In a smaller bowl, combine the oil, sugar and egg. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir to combine. Fold in the apple cider until just combined.
  4. Using a piping bag, fill the donut pan half way. Bake the donuts 8 minutes for full sized, 6 minutes for mini donuts.
  5. Let the donuts sit in the pan for a few minutes before glazing.
  6. Whisk the apple cider, powdered sugar and corn syrup until smooth. Dip each donut in the glaze. Top with a cinnamon-sugar mixture if desired.
