Big soft gingerbread cookies
 
 
Serves: 20 large cookies
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • 2¼ cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer or large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and molasses and mix until combined.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Stir to combine.
  4. Shape the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet. Flatten slightly and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool 2 minutes on the sheet before transferring the cookies to a cooling rack.
  6. Store in an air tight container.
