Chocolate caramel pecan bars
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup unwrapped caramels
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil and coat lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the cake mix, egg and melted butter until combined.
  3. Place the peanut butter and caramels in a small bowl. Microwave for a few minutes stirring occasionally until smooth.
  4. Press ¾ of the dough into the pan and pour the caramel peanut butter mixture over top.
  5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
  6. Gather the remaining dough into small pieces and place on top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes. Let the bars cool before slicing.
